We have launched into a new product line! 

We had a few cases of olive oil that were about to expire.  Since we don’t keep our olive oil out once it has expired, and we actually have expiration dates on our bottles, we decided to make soap out of the remaining bottles!

Tutti Amici Olive Oil Soaps were born in November 2011…bars and liquid, Castile and regular…now we are on to sugar scrubs!  All of the soap sold out for the holidays and folks are calling to order more.  Not only do they love our award winning olive oil as a treat for their foods, now they are bathing in it!!!

Soaps such as tomato basil, seaweed, chocolate almond, coffee, evergreen, pumpkin spice, cranberry spice, grapefruit, lime bergamot, rosemary herb, anise and ylang ylang are made with all natural organic ingredients.

The coffee exfoliates your skin, with the granules, you feel like you are having a spa treatment!  The tomato basil has lycopene to tighten and tone your skin!  The benefits are endless…

The bar soaps come with a label, tied with a beautiful silk ribbon and then placed in an organza bag…a fabulous gift for your family, friends or yourself!

Recently, one of our good customers found out that her Cancer had returned.  She scheduled her surgery and was about to leave for the hospital when she frantically called and requested a bottle of Tutti Amici Olive Oil.  After hearing the story and the reason that she wanted it so quickly, I was amazed and couldn’t help but deliver it to her personally as my gift!  She told me that everytime she goes in for surgery, she can not go to the bathroom.  As we all know, the hospital staff does not let you go home until you have done your duty!  So, her request for our olive oil was because she said, “it helps me go!  I drink it in the morning after surgery and within an hour or so, it has moved me!”

Well, I don’t know if this works for everyone…but, I like that it works for my good customer and friend!

When thinking about planning a wedding, there are so many things to cover.  Where will we have the reception, which church will we use for our ceremony, the band or dj, the flowers, the cake, the favors…the list goes on and on!

We attended a wedding where the food was a bit dry…we opened our bottle of Tutti Amici olive oil and drizzled it on our chicken, fish or steak and found that the meal was much better!!  The other guests followed our lead…

Yesterday, I decided to treat myself to a massage at a local spa.  It was wonderful, as one can just imagine!  The creams and oils that they used were simply divine, along with the total body massage. 

While sitting in the relaxation room, I started to think about how I loved the scents of the oils and scrubs.  Wondering to myself, how can I feel this way everyday without spending a fortune…

In November of 2011 we met a woman who makes organic, all natural soaps.  It was another “Godwink” for us, because two weeks prior to meeting Judy, Lisa said…”I want to broaden our line of products with soaps, shampoo, conditioner, hand cream, chapstick…”  Judy came to the CT Wine Tasting in Goshen, introduced herself and said she wanted to talk to us about making soap out of our olive oil!

We formed an alliance and sold over 150 bars of soap and 60 liquid bottles in the two weeks before Christmas!  The soap is so beautiful, it looks edible! 

 We are carrying several types, including Tomato Basil, Rosemary Herb, Lime Bergamot (Castile), Grapefruit (Castile), Coffee, Pumpkin Spice, Cranberry Spice, Chocolate Almond, Seaweed and Anise.  For the holidays we also sold Evergreen and Ylang Ylang.  Each soap has its own healing properties depending on the ingredients.  Since the soap is made with organic/all natural ingredients, it is great for those with sensitive skin.

Well, it was another great year for Tiezzi Imports!  We started bringing in honey from Tuscany to add to our line in January, woven products in February, new dipping dishes in March and a full line of olive oil soaps made with Tutti Amici olive oil in November! 

We won first place in CT Specialty Food Associations Annual Competition for both our olive oil and our honey!! 

We are now in 21 stores in CT, two tasting rooms in the South and are currently shipping to friends and family in California!

I received a call yesterday from a lovely woman who is planning an olive oil tasting bar to be opening soon in North Carolina!  I was thrilled to hear that they are popping up all over the south!  I guess the good news about olive oil is travelling quickly…the health benefits, the delicious flavor and taste, the color and best of all olive oil can be used for everything! 

I have recently been taste testing Tutti Amici cold pressed extra virgin olive oil in all kinds of things…in brownie mixes where it calls for vegetable oil (I just use a bit less), on ice cream (wow, who would have thought?), it is delicious on fresh salad ingredients…drizzle over salmon, chicken, steak…cannellini beans, broccoli, spinach, and in my orange juice every morning!!!!
