Do yourself a favor…use your “good” olive oil on everything that you enjoy it with!  Use it up, you don’t want to save it and find that it is rancid when you want to use it!  Just think, would you dip bread in most store bought olive oil?  Probably not!  Then, why would you want to cook with it or put it on your salad if it doesn’t taste good right from the bottle?

Enjoy olive oil, it is delicious and healthy for you!  Spend a little more to get a delicious, good quality oil and by all means…check for an expiration date!!!

Dr. Oz talked about the things to look for when buying olive oil.  Olive oil labels are very important.  First, you must look for a dark colored bottle because, it keeps the light out, which in turn protects the oil’s vitamins and nutrients while making it last longer.  Second, it should be “cold pressed”, which means that the juice from the olive is extracted by pressing the olives between stone wheels.  The new and less expensive way to press is through centrifical force, which heats up the juice and depletes its vitamins.  Last, but not least, the olives should all come from the same country.  You don’t want a mix of olives that might contaminate the oil!

So, I hope that you will look for these characteristics when shopping for “great” olive oil.  Yes, you will pay a bit more, but at least you will know that you are getting the “real” thing!

Did the people in Washington or even at the local state level ever come out and ask small business owners what they need help with?  Does anyone try to promote small businesses?  No, the answer is NO!  We get a “Business Entity Tax”  of $250 per small business and then a form that arrives every year  to be  checked as to whether or not we are still in business and if we are,we must check over the information to make sure the state has it correct… and put in your $20 payment for a job well done!!! 

Try to call the state because a mistake was made on your paperwork, hold for a minimum of 20 minutes and then get a rude and obnoxious person who passes you to another person because they can not seem to figure out what the problem is…Is that what the Business Entity Tax pays for?

On the Federal level, just make sure that you pay your taxes on time or we will come looking for you!

Did anyone from your state or federal government ever send you a form that says, “How can we be of service to you?” or “Is there any type of endorsement or help that we can give you to help you succeed?”  NO, the answer is once again, NO!

I would be happier to pay state and federal income taxes if I thought anyone was willing to help me succeed!  However, it seems to be a backward system…if you are a large, successful company, we will help you with anything you need, promote you, lobby for you AND, you don’t have to pay the average tax amount!!!!!
